The double wobble blue light hybrid welding head combines a blue laser with a fiber laser in one compact torch. Copper and aluminium absorb blue light at roughly 70%, so the same weld penetration is reached with a far lower total laser power than a red laser setup. Lower power means a smaller source, less chillers load and a clearly lower cost per workstation.
- ~70% absorption rate on copper and aluminium, several times the absorption of fiber laser alone.
- Lower equipment power, lower cost compared with red laser welding of the same thickness.
- Spatter free process with a stable molten pool and a smooth, uniform weld bead appearance.
Two independent wobble axes move the focus spot in X and Y, spreading heat across a wider track. This delivers single side welding with double side forming: one pass from the top produces a full penetration seam with a formed bead on both faces, removing the need to flip the workpiece.
- Wider gap tolerance, wider fit up allowance for stamped and laser cut parts.
- Better weld quality with reduced porosity and crack risk in dissimilar joints.
- Smooth seam appearance that needs little or no post weld grinding.
Copper busbars, battery tabs and packs, aluminium heat exchangers, new energy trays, power electronics, hardware, kitchenware and thin stainless steel cabinets.
