Blue Laser Composite Single Wobble Welding Head With 70% Absorption Low Spatter

The HanWei combines a 450nm blue diode laser with a 1070nm fiber laser inside one compact welding head and delivers the combined beam through a single wobble axis. Blue light is absorbed far more efficiently by copper, aluminium and other reflective metals, so the head reaches full penetration with a much lower laser power setting than a conventional red (1064/1070nm) fiber laser head.

• About 70% absorption rate at 450nm: copper absorbs roughly 70% of blue laser energy, while the absorption of 1070nm red laser light on the same surface is only a few percent at room temperature.
• Lower laser power for the same penetration: because most of the blue energy enters the material instead of being reflected, a blue hybrid source can replace a far more expensive high power fiber laser.
• Lower running cost: reduced power demand means lower electricity consumption, less chiller load and longer life for the laser source, optics and protective lenses.
• Stable process on reflective metals: higher absorption also means less back reflection, so the welding process stays stable instead of fluctuating with surface condition.

• No spatter: the combined blue and fiber beam plus single axis wobble keeps the keyhole stable, so there is no molten metal ejection and no spatter to clean after welding.
• Smooth weld appearance: the oscillating beam produces a uniform, fine ripple seam that needs little or no post weld grinding.
• Single-sided welding, double-sided forming: full penetration is achieved from one side only, with a continuous and even bead formed on the reverse side, which removes the need to turn the workpiece.
• Wider gap tolerance: wobble oscillation enlarges the molten pool so the liquid metal bridges joint gaps and fit-up errors that would burn through or leave unfused sections with straight line welding.
• Better and repeatable seam quality: lower porosity, fewer cracks and consistent penetration from the first part to the last part of a production run.
