The quasi-continuous wave (QCW) fiber laser welding machine is developed for long pulse width and high peak power welding tasks, and it is built as a direct upgrade path for YAG laser welding on production lines. Because the laser operates in QCW mode, the machine delivers high peak energy at a low average heat input, which keeps heat-affected zones narrow and protects thin, heat-sensitive components.
This model is configured for the consumer electronics industry, where high-precision accessories require repeatable spot and seam welds with minimal deformation, no spatter on adjacent plating, and a clean cosmetic finish. Structural optimization of the optical path and the independently developed energy splitting and time splitting control system together reduce routine maintenance to a minimum.
1. Constant beam quality across the full power range
The beam parameter product stays stable from the lowest to the highest output setting, so the focused spot diameter does not drift when operators change power recipes. Welding results stay consistent between low-power cosmetic welds and high-power penetration welds, and process parameters can be transferred between machines without re-tuning.
2. Up to 30% electro-optical conversion efficiency - economical and environmentally friendly
A high-efficiency fiber gain module converts pump power into laser output at up to 30% electro-optical efficiency. Compared with lamp-pumped YAG systems, power consumption per weld drops sharply, the cooling load is lower, and there are no mercury lamps or lamp replacement consumables to dispose of. Lower energy cost per part and a smaller carbon footprint per production shift.
3. Superior output power and energy stability
Closed-loop energy feedback keeps pulse energy stable from shot to shot, so the weld nugget diameter and penetration depth remain repeatable across a long production run. Consistent energy output means fewer rejects, less rework and stable quality data for incoming inspection.
4. Built for consumer electronics precision accessories
The system is tuned for joining thin stainless steel, nickel-plated steel, aluminum alloy and copper components used inside consumer electronics, such as structural shields, connectors, spring contacts, small brackets, camera modules and battery tabs. Minimal heat input, fine spot size and clean weld beads meet the cosmetic and mechanical requirements of high-precision accessories.
